Read how your Canadian students achieved international recognition

One ordinary evening, 8-year-old Bruce Chang was engrossed in a game of Monopoly with his father.  What started as a fun evening turned an eye-opener when Bruce struggled to calculate $50 in change for a transaction. For his parents, it was more than a minor hiccup; it was a realization. They wanted Bruce to improve in math, gain confidence and problem-solving skills. Their answer? Enrolling Bruce in UCMAS.

Grand Champion in Category A2

A year later, Bruce’s transformation is nothing short of remarkable. At the UCMAS International Competition 2024, the boy who once hesitated over basic arithmetic clinched the title of Grand Champion in Category A2, beating students from across the globe. As Bruce breezed through complex math problems with speed and accuracy, the audience was left spellbound, and his parents were justified in their decision.

"UCMAS isn’t just a program; it’s like a family," - Bruce’s father shared. The center isn’t about just math worksheets, it’s about building confidence, creativity, and whole-brain development.

Shaan Patel, an 11-year-old known for his quiet determination, joined UCMAS with aspirations of boosting his mental math skills. But what Shaan discovered was a world where focus, discipline, and teamwork were just as important as numbers.
